My Progression Story by Edward Lee

I was born in Klang in 2005 to a beautiful small family but 3 years later when i was still on diapers my mum suddenly left us, leaving me and my two older brothers in the care of my father.
During my younger days my father brought me to visit many beautiful places and have taken lots of photos of me and the family. Every moment was cherishable for him as we didn't know that our life together as a family will be suddenly cut shot.

My father then took me to Kuantan to live with my grandmother and uncle's family.
During my stay there i frequently travel with my father to Kuala Lumpur to visit my older brothers. Even though my uncle and aunt gave me a great home for me to grow up,
i was still a crybaby, probably because of the family breakup and separation.

In 2010, I entered kindergarten but my memories of the time spent there are full of pot holes, mostly forgotten. I studied at the kindergarten at Kampung Jawa in Kuantan until 2012.
In 2012, i started my primary school at SJK (C) Chung Ching and my time there was very interesting, friends i make there were unforgettable.
My classmates and teachers were very helpful and I learn a lot here.
Classmates were all wonderful and funny, although time flew by very fast,
my memories are still intact and i also I won several medals.
I spend my time after school at a day care cum tuition center
and i am very thankful to the teachers here who help me with my studies.

In 2018, I moved back to Kuala Lumpur to study in IGCSE homeschool at Emerging Youth Leadership Homeschool and as i was from a Chinese school,my English was not my strong point so I was entered to a grade that was much lower for me to catch up. The teachers were all helpful to me, although it was hard at first, I managed well.

After almost 2 years studying here, my dad decided to switch me to another school for a different learning environment. Although I struggled at first because of a jump in grades, my classmates and teachers were all helpful and taught me to do better.
I now study in EdenBridge Learning Centre and live with my aunt in Kuala Lumpur.
It really became homeschool in 2020 and 2021 due to the covid-19 pandemic

  1. Awesome story! Enjoyed reading it!
I was at Tanjong Sepat too, that Lover's Bridge, the old wooden jetty, collapsed soon after that.

I did go on the Penang ferry too - sad that it came to an end.
